I was provided a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
Philip Gibson, has a great approach for beginner readers using the flash card approach. A singular new word is introduced utilizing a flash card. Consecutive flash cards compose more and more complex sentences, while remaining very simplistic for the beginner reader. The learning process is more a game than a lesson – and much less threatening for the shy child.
The pictures are simple drawings that support the visual learner, reading aloud supports the auditory learner, and I would suggest having the child write the new words to support the kinesthetic learner.
